Redhead Architects is a chartered practice, located in the heart of Norwich. We deliver new-build and retrofit projects, ranging from one-off homes, city apartments, hotels, commercial and heritage projects. We use sound design principles to seek the potential for joy in every scheme.

Over the years, we feel lucky to have shared fantastic experiences working with amazing people on a vast array of residential, commercial, education, conservation and master-planning projects both in the UK and Bermuda for several great practices. Redhead Architects is the culmination of these experiences.

🎉Planning approved!🎉 We’re delighted to secure consent for a beautiful contemporary addition to a Norwich townhouse. The building will house our client’s precious collection of modern art and furniture (as well as the piano). Carefully placed glazed doors and roof-lights will control the light into the space. Elongated bricks and zinc cladding help to keep the materials palette simple #architecture #beautifulbuildings @ribanorfolk

Redhead Architects are delighted to be working with Norwich University of the Arts to re-imagine the historic 1914 Guntons Building on St George’s Street! 🎉 The brief is to transform one of the University’s most significant cultural assets whilst also unlocking new connections for the wider city.  At the heart of the design is a bold intervention to ‘carve’ through the building to complete the missing link of NCC’s ‘River Wensum Strategy.’ At last, it would be possible to walk the entire length of the river through the centre of Norwich.  In collaboration with University’s own Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab (IVSL), we have been able to create a 360 immersive experience and invite various stakeholders into the lab to experience our new design full-size and in real time.  This process has been incredibly useful and has offered many insights, which we will incorporate as we develop our proposals. Through collaboration and careful design, the project hopes to revitalise a neglected edge of the river and make a positive contribution to the city.
