passivhaus masterplan of golf lodges

50 Passive Golf Lodges

Redhead Architects are currently developing a masterplan for a development of 50 4-bed Net-Zero golf lodges and ancillary accommodation, proposed in a woodland setting.  Pre-application discussions with the LPA are going well and the design team are optimistic to be in a position to submit a formal application in the coming months.  The entire development will be built to Passive house standards and will sensitively enhance the existing facilities and make a positive contribution to local community.

In terms of approach, the overall strategy for the site was developed using a series of sketch overlays which helped us to collaborate with the consultant team to coordinate landscape design, flood risk, ecology topography and archaeological data. Working in parallel, we also developed the design in 3D to test our ideas using Virtual Reality. We also produced a series of animated fly-throughs and renders to help explain our proposals to potential investors.
